Anthem’s NurseLine is available 24/7
It’s after hours and you have a fever that won’t subside. Who can help you decide what to do? Call the free and confidential NurseLine to get advice from a qualified registered nurse (RN) anytime. While 24/7 NurseLine may be your first option for unexpected issues, it also supports Anthem’s whole-health approach to care. The registered nurses can provide allergy relief tips and explain why urgent care might be better than the emergency room (ER). By calling first, you can get the help you need. Dial 866-647-6117; available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year (the number is also on the back of your Anthem ID card).
NurseLine registered nurses can also:
• Assist you in finding providers and specialists nearby
• Give referrals to LiveHealth Online, a platform for live video chats with board-certified doctors via smartphone, tablet, or computer with webcam
• Enroll you and your dependents in care management programs for specific health conditions such as allergy relief tips, what to do for a fever or advise you where to go for care
• Help you decide where to seek care when your doctor, dentist, or eye doctor isn’t available
• Offer guidance during natural disasters and health outbreaks
• Provide links to health-related educational videos or audio topics
